A trailblazer for efficient and effective government, Ellen Troxclair has played a key role in lowering property taxes and improving transparency at both the city and state level. As a councilwoman, Ellen lowered property taxes for all homeowners by implementing Austin’s first homestead exemption. She became known as the budget watchdog, consistently cutting wasteful spending and reforming city programs for better results.

Donna Campbell

Senator Donna Campbell, M.D. is a board certified emergency room physician and proud parent of four daughters. She lives in New Braunfels and represents Senate District 25, a six county district which includes parts of San Antonio and Austin. She currently serves as the Chair of the Senate Nominations Committee.
Rebecca Bell-Metereau

Rebecca Bell-Metereau is a Democrat representing District 5 on the State Board of Education. She teaches film in the English Department at Texas State University, where she directs the interdisciplinary Media Studies Program that she developed. She was a Fulbright scholar and professor at the University of St. Louis, Senegal, and taught as visiting professor at the University of Nebraska.

John Cornyn was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002 and is currently serving his fourth term. He sits on the Senate Finance, Intelligence, and Judiciary Committees, where he helps craft legislation on behalf of nearly 30 million Texans. From 2013 until 2019, John was chosen by his colleagues to serve as the Republican Whip, the second-highest ranking position in the Senate Republican Conference. A San Antonio native, John has served the people of Texas for nearly four decades, as a district judge, a member of the Texas Supreme Court, and Texas Attorney General, before representing the Lone Star State in the U.S. Senate.
